Throughout the software delivery life cycle, developers need to enforce code quality standards, diagnose performance regressions, and maintain service reliability under pressure. In modern CI/CD environments with distributed architectures, these responsibilities span multiple stages of the pipeline, making it essential to be able to observe and act on quality signals from early in development processes to production releases and beyond.

In this hands-on workshop, you'll use Datadog CI Visibility, Test Optimization, Code Coverage, and PR Gates to validate a new feature and move it from staging to production in a multi-service ecommerce application. You'll then investigate and resolve realistic production issues using Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Software Catalog, and Continuous Profiler to analyze application performance and runtime behavior. Finally, you'll use Bits AI Dev to explore how AI-assisted investigation can accelerate debugging and resolution.

By the end of this workshop, you'll have gained practical experience using Datadog to enforce code quality standards, optimize CI/CD pipelines, diagnose and address production performance issues, and build the quality gates and monitoring needed to effectively and efficiently deliver reliable software.
